Lightspeed is currently seeking a dynamic and hardworking Paralegal to support our European legal team. The successful candidate will provide critical administrative support on all active matters specifically centered around contract work, drafting and reviewing standard documents, ad hoc support for various corporate matters, and other special projects as needed. You must have the ability to think analytically, possess strong attention to detail and be skilled in multitasking all while managing competing priorities. If you are a meticulous and articulate legal administrator who thrives in fast-paced environments, this is a great opportunity. 

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Intake, triage and management of European legal requests - coordination within the legal team, as well as with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contract and contract lifecycle management 
  • Proofreading and translating legal documents
  • Assisting with legal research and organizing data
  • Assisting with drafting of legal documentation, internal policies
  • Preparing director and shareholders resolutions and maintaining minute books of subsidiaries
  • Assist with and coordinate compliance procedures 
  • General legal administrative duties and special projects

What you’ll be bringing to the team

  • 1-3 years of paralegal (and/or related) experience, including drafting, reviewing and revising contracts and other legal documentation
  • Extensive oral and written communication skills in English, French and German
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Powerpoint 
  • Great organizational skills and reliability
  • Great analytical skills and an amazing attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced,  rapidly changing environment 
  • Ability to prioritize efficiently and handle sometimes tight deadlines
  • Strong curiosity for new skills and tools, willingness to develop and expand your legal knowledge
  • Positive attitude and laser focus on execution

Even better if you have, but not necessary

  • Oral and written communication skills in Dutch
  • Experience in both corporate environments and private firms
  • Experience with entity management and minute book software
  • Experience with working in a contract management software
  • Experience working within a global corporate environment
  • Experience in a high growth, technology company
