We use GET endpoints to extract historical sales transactions from our customers’ POS systems in order to report on net sales, discounts and payments, broken down by all relevant dimensions, such as location, product and employee.

• We develop our integrations in a customer-agnostic way, meaning that we centrally manage one Lightspeed integration per series for all active customers. This makes it scalable and reliable.
• Our data platform offers a centralised solution for dealing with pagination in API responses, which improves scalability and reliability further.
• We have a standardised method of determining the correct query parameters for requesting a daily slice of data from the API, ensuring that we stay in sync with the source and request relevant data efficiently after an initial load.
• Our data platform uses a single processing engine to process extracted raw data and clean and validate it for all 50+ integrations. We always load all available objects and columns from an API endpoint and maintain the same names as the source. This allows us and our customers to easily innovate in reporting and develop ad hoc analyses.
